Can you mail a basket of cookies?

For my friend's birthday im gonna make homemade cookies and put it in a basket. i don't how i'm going to give it to her because on the day of her birthday, i'll be at Orlando for a wedding. So, i thought i should mail it. Can you mail a basket of cookies? Her birthday is on July 4(Independence Day)
