I'm learning how to make jeans from scratch.. I prefer low semi-tight fit skinny jeans..what fabric do I use..?

I've never made jeans before and I've looked all over the internet but I'm still having trouble figuring it out. What kind of fabric do I need and where exactly do I get it? I'll have to shop online for it though. I prefer to make my jeans very low, about an inch above where the panties would sit. I wouldn't mind exact step-by-step instructions.. barney style. Thanks!!
