Would it be normal for a girl to wear this?

I'm planning on buying a cookie monster hat, the flatbill style. But, my parents think that it's ONLY for boys. And I DO want this hat and before I go out and buy it, do you think my friends will call me a tomboy? So, is this like normal like a type of girl's style not tomboy like bubbly, outgoing, fun. Would I be considered as a tomboy for wearing this type of hat? I'm really bubbly, outgoing, fun, funny. Just to give you some tips so you can answer correctly.
